Ishmael Kosamu graduated with bachelors degree (1998) from the University of Malawi majoring in Environmental Science and Technology. In April 2004, he graduated with a masters degree in Environmental Science and Technology from UNESCO-IHE Institute for Water Education in the Netherlands. He is currently working at the University of Malawi where he teaches undergraduates studying environmental sciences. He joined the Institute of Environmental Sciences in January 2011 and his PhD research focuses on the link between water resources, community livelihood and ecosystem services.
