Girma Eshete Genbere obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in International Wildlife Conservation Practice from University of Oxford, United Kingdom, an MSc in Tropical Land Resources Management (Mekelle University), a BA degree in biology (Alemaya University) and Diploma in Animal health (Addis Ababa University), Ethiopia. He has served for a decade in expert and head position in different government organizations working on natural resources conservation and development in Ethiopia. He has also involved in Ethiopian Wolf Conservation Programme in different conservation research activities with the programme founding members from Wildlife Conservation Research Unit, Zoology Department, University of Oxford.
Girma Eshete Genbere is currently working on his PhD at Leiden University. His PhD research topic is “Ecology of Ethiopian wolf in a changing landscape, human carnivore interaction in Afroalpine ecosystems of Ethiopia” a joint PhD research project supervised by Leiden and Oxford University.
