David Font Vivanco graduated in 2008 in environmental sciences from the Autonomous University of Barcelona. He also holds a master’s degree in renewable energies engineering and management from the University of Barcelona (2009) and a master’s degree in industrial ecology from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (2011). His professional experience started in the automotive industry, where he worked as an environmental technician. He has also worked as a technician in a public agency in the field of industrial waste management and as a consultant in various environmentally-related fields, with particular emphasis on preventive waste management and environmental economic policy.
Since 2012 he is a PhD researcher of the Department of Industrial Ecology at CML. His research is framed within the “Environmental Macro-Indicators of Innovation” (EMInInn) project, an EU FP7 project aimed at assessing the environmental impacts associated with innovation in different areas of technological innovation, being the transport sector the main focus of his current research work.
