Kai Fang graduated in 2009 with a bachelor degree in Environmental Science at Zhejiang University. He received his master's degree in 2011 from Jilin University where he also worked as a research assistant for two years. Research focused on ecological economics in particular energy footprint.
He is presently undertaking a PhD in the Department of Industrial Ecology of the Institute of Environmental Science (CML) of Leiden University, the Netherlands. His main interests are to develop the methodology of footprint modeling for representing the environmental impacts of energy systems.
